AMANDA K. ANDERSON
At Anderson Ballard LLC, Amanda serves as general counsel to community associations in Oregon and Washington. She enjoys helping community associations in all aspects of community governance. Amanda assists associations in drafting amendments, rules, policies, and resolutions, reviews association contracts, and works closely with associations to resolve legal challenges and disputes. She frequently provides advice relating to repair and remediation projects, maintenance requirements, rules enforcement, and the dispute resolution process.
When she is not assisting associations, Amanda enjoys working on adoption matters and helping to bring families together. From foster care adoptions to adult adoptions and everything in between, she loves helping clients navigate the complex legal processes to help them achieve their goals.
Before attending law school, Amanda K. Anderson graduated summa cum laude from the University of San Diego with a degree in business administration and minors in philosophy, leadership, and non-profit management. During law school, Amanda drafted appellate briefs as a law clerk for the Oregon Department of Justice and was the Managing Editor of her law review.
After law school, Amanda joined a large Portland law firm where she provided general counsel services to community associations and handled complex construction defect and product liability litigation. Prior to forming Anderson Ballard LLC, Amanda transitioned to a small local firm where she continued to provide general counsel and litigation services to community associations.
Amanda volunteers on the Oregon Women Lawyers Community Service Committee and the Oregon Washington Community Association Managers Marketing Committee. Amanda also enjoys volunteering for the Classroom Law Project, USD Alumni and Class Legacy Scholarship Review team, and Hands On Greater Portland. In her spare time, Amanda enjoys traveling, kayaking, and spending time with her husband and son.

JENNIFER P. BALLARD
At Anderson Ballard LLC, Jennifer guides adoptive parents, birth parents, and children through the adoption process. She enjoys educating her clients about the complex legal and practical considerations involved in an adoption. Jennifer loves helping people navigate the momentous life event of adoption from all sides.
Jennifer also enjoys serving as general counsel to community associations. Jennifer drafts amendments, resolutions, rules, and policies, and also assists associations in resolving legal disputes and challenges.
Before attending law school, Jennifer worked at a family law firm and represented foster children in their court proceedings as a CASA volunteer. During law school, she participated in her law school's Children and Youth Advocacy Clinic and externed at Youth, Rights & Justice.
After law school, Jennifer worked at a large Portland law firm where she represented community associations in construction defect litigation and general counsel matters. Prior to forming Anderson Ballard LLC, Jennifer also worked for several years as general counsel at a closely-held Oregon corporation.
While in private practice, Jennifer briefed and argued a pro bono case before the Oregon Court of Appeals in conjunction with Youth, Rights & Justice, and served for two years on the Multnomah Bar Association Young Lawyers Pro Bono Committee.
In her spare time, Jennifer enjoys cooking, sewing, and spending time with her husband, child, extended family, and her dogs. Jennifer is a member of the Portland Modern Quilt Guild.
